Bergkristall is a chalet-style 2 bedroom holiday apartment which is wonderfully cosy and homely with panoramic mountain and valley views from the large sunny balcony and located just a 500m walk from the centre of the family-friendly “car-free” mountain village of Wengen.
The apartment sleeps up to 4 people:
Bedroom 1 = 1 king-size double bed
Bedroom 2 = 2 single / twin beds
All beds are European sizes.
Bathroom = corner bath with a shower overhead and a WC.
Apartment location - being just a 7-minute (500m) walk downhill from the train station, 450m from the nearest supermarket and 600m from the cable car and nursery ski slopes, mountain hiking trails and ski areas are just a few steps away!
After a day of skiing or hiking, relax with your favourite drink on the large south and west-facing corner balcony with stunning views of the Lauterbrunnen valley and surrounding mountains; Jungfrau, Breithorn, Tschingelhorn and Gspaltenhorn… a magnificent backdrop to the chalet-style décor!
The kitchen is well-stocked for all your culinary needs. Enjoy some traditional Swiss favourites with the cheese fondue set. While busy in the kitchen, others can warm their toes in front of the open fire while staying entertained with the cable TV, and free Wi-Fi internet connection.
There is a ski & boot storage room on the ground floor along with washing and drying machines.

What you should know...
Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if you require assistance to your chalet.
For those planning to explore the Jungfrau region, we at Wengen Apartments offer the convenience of purchasing tickets on your behalf. Please contact us before your arrival to arrange this service.
As part of your booking, a mandatory non-refundable damage waiver of CHF 35 is required. This waiver offers you protection against accidental damage during your stay, ensuring peace of mind without the need for a traditional refundable security deposit.

Julie, James and the team made sure everything was in place before and during our stay through constant communication, to ensure our comfort through the entire stay. The apartment was spotless, with all the necessary amenities and the views were spectacular! Julie also offered some great suggestions on what to do around Wengen when the weather was a bit rough for hiking. Having lived in Switzerland, the hospitality and service from Wengen apartments was Swiss perfection. Needless to say, we will certainly be returning soon to enjoy this wonderful experience provided by Julie and the team from Wengen Apartments. |

I stayed at Bergkristall, for the 3rd year running in March for a weeks’ skiing. It is a lovely apartment with spectacular views over the Lauterbrunnen valley. Sunrise (if you are up early) and sunset views from the warmth of the sitting roomal frescsee more
I stayed at Bergkristall, for the 3rd year running in March for a weeks’ skiing. It is a lovely apartment with spectacular views over the Lauterbrunnen valley. Sunrise (if you are up early) and sunset views from the warmth of the sitting roomal fresco on the balcony (with a hot chocolateglass of wine) is unbelievably peaceful. I now long to see Wengen and the surrounding area in the warmer months using Bergkristall as a base. It is a 5 minute walk uphill to the village centre, shops, cinema, restaurants, spa and lifts. The apartment is very well equipped, clean and comfortable and has a homely feel about it.

Bergkristall is a charming and cosy apartment situated in the pretty resort of Wengen. The apartment is very well equipped, comfortable with a large fireplace, balcony and lovely views. It is a short walk uphill to the station, lifts and shops. Wesee more

It is a short walk uphill to the station, lifts and shops. Wengen is easy to get to by train from Basel and is a great place to skiwalk. I hope to return to Bergkristall.

This is a gorgeous, well appointed bijoux traditional Swiss chalet on the 1st floor which is ideally located for the train stationwalking. 4 of us stayed during the summer months and loved the wrap around balcony. It would be ideal for skiing too as see more
This is a gorgeous, well appointed bijoux traditional Swiss chalet on the 1st floor which is ideally located for the train stationwalking. 4 of us stayed during the summer months and loved the wrap around balcony. It would be ideal for skiing too as the skiing infrastructure in this area is superb. We did use the summer lifts to access walks all over the area as well as the train. If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. The chalet itself has everything you need and nothing you don't. It's cosy and warm with a proper fire. The bathroom has 2 shower cubicles, masses of hot water and the beds are very comfy and everything is spotless. Local shops and bars all great
